Director - Finance Expected Duties and Responsibilities Include:
- "Hands on" financial forecasting, analysis, and planning (systems and controls - source) for the Commission
- Responsible for all aspects of book keeping and accounting functions - general ledger, cash management and forecasting, payroll, accounts receivable/payable, bank reconciliation, fixed assets and other general accounting
- Interact at all levels of the internal organization, as well as with donor agencies, private corporations, banks, and government departments
- Recruit, train, and manage accounting and finance team
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proven problem solving and financial analysis skills
- Must have minimum 10-15 years accounting experience with CA or M.B.A. in Accounting or Finance
- Experience and expertise in core finance functions: treasury, accounting, controllership, corporate accounting guidelines, taxation and auditing
- Experience with automated accounting systems and software products
- Prior experience in building a finance department
